Create a bespoke, photo-based book cover using found materials to reinterpret Vonnegut’s nonlinear, trauma narrative.
Project goal
Capture the fragmented, surreal tone of the novel while emphasizing its themes of war, time, and memory through a physical, tactile design.
Project solution
1. Build a large-scale typophoto composition with hand-cut aluminum type and a distressed paper set.
2. Use tilt-shift photography and wire rigging to control forced perspective.
3. Use symbolism (flames, bombs, rubble) and fragmented type to mirror the novel’s absurdity and gravity.
